It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of long-time BTO Member William Loubsky.
Bill was called home the morning of April 25 2022.

Until the recent convention in Cleveland, he could always be seen next to his tables in the Dealers’ Hall selling LGB collectables and the newest and most eye-catching LGB locomotives.

Through his company, Jamie’s Collectables, he always donated gifts to the Club for our Convention giveaways and goodie-bags.  Who could forget the Santa Fe Convention, when the banquet needed to be kick-started, Bill joined the Mariachi Band in a rousing rendition of Cielito Lindo.  It took the excitement in the room up to a whole new level.

Most people knew Bill as a “train guy” and never realized that he was a true rocket scientist.  He traveled the world doing research on rocket propulsion systems.  He was also fluent in Spanish.  And if you ever needed an expert on Beanie Babies or Barbie Dolls, at one time or another Bill was the guy to go to.

Bill Loubsky was one unique individual and a friend to so many.  A friend who will truly be missed.
